Who we are
MotionFix is built and distributed by d4b software studio (d4b.online). For privacy questions, contact us through our website or open an issue on the project's GitHub repository.
Information we collect
None. MotionFix does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information, usage data, analytics, crash reports, identifiers, or other telemetry. The app does not contain advertising SDKs or third-party trackers.
Camera usage
MotionFix requires access to your Mac's built-in camera to estimate device motion. The camera stream is processed at low resolution (640×480, 20 fps) entirely on-device, in memory only. The processing extracts a single motion vector per frame, which is used to counter-animate the on-screen reference dots. The video frames themselves are:
- never displayed in the app's interface;
- never written to disk;
- never transmitted over the network;
- discarded from memory as soon as the next frame arrives.
You can revoke camera access at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera; MotionFix will continue running but the dots will rest at their base positions.
Third-party services
The only third party involved is Apple, and only for in-app purchase processing via the App Store and StoreKit. If you choose to buy the full version, Apple handles the entire transaction. Apple's privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive your payment information.
Local storage
MotionFix saves a small amount of preference data on your Mac using the system
UserDefaults mechanism: number of dots, sensitivity level, performance mode,
whether dots are visible. This data lives only on your device, syncs only if you have macOS
iCloud preferences sync enabled, and is removed when you delete the app.
Children's privacy
MotionFix is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for substantive changes, mention it in the app's release notes on the App Store. Continued use of MotionFix after such an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
Your rights
Because MotionFix doesn't collect, store, or transmit any of your data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. If you'd like to remove all trace of MotionFix from your Mac, drag the app to the Trash and empty it.
